Shadow Peaks
In the valley of shadows, her mountain peaks
Cast towering shadows, where my river weeps.
Beneath her daunting summits, I shrink in fear,
As doubt cascades like rain, my soul unclear.
Her rivers, sinuous and deep they flow,
Mirror my doubts, casting shadows below.
I question the peaks within my own soul,
As her currents stir, my courage grows cold.
I yearn to climb the heights, to touch the sky,
Yet her mountains loom, blocking the why.
Her rivers, once gentle, now turbulent streams,
Reflecting my doubts, haunting my dreams.
But in the midst of darkness, a flicker of light,
A whisper of hope amidst the night.
For in her shadow, I find my own flame,
A beacon of strength, despite the shame.
I'll forge my own path, through valleys and peaks,
Embracing the journey, the solace it seeks.
No longer afraid of the shadows she casted,
For within me burns a light that lasts.
So let her mountains tower, let her rivers flow,
I'll find my own rhythm, my own ebb and flow.
For though her shadow may have dimmed- my light,
Within me burns a fire, fierce and bright.
