Dear Diary (11th February 2024)

What a rollercoaster couple of weeks it has been, a journey of climbing more than twisting, yet constantly mindful of the looming drop. I've embraced the flow of life, allowing it to guide me along the path of growth towards anywhere but stagnation. And oh, how Mrs Universe has unfolded her mysteries before me, revealing her boundless possibilities in myriad ways. And, all these recent little moments have been leading me to one whole moment. Moments like the one where I was sitting with the souls at the Incubator Hub during a staff meeting felt like a convergence of timelines at a single table. It was a moment where the past, present, and future intersected, inviting me to envision the life I've lived, am living, will live, and the life I aspire to live. Sitting amidst what felt like dreams I have yet to grow into, was a reminder of the endless potential that lies within myself.

Capturing the souls of Two musical wizards, Tym and Nick, for their website on the same day as the Incubator Hub meeting, was a surreal experience that resonated deeply with my teenage dreams of fame and recognition. Despite receiving payment in just two packets of supermarket lollies, the feeling of fulfillment was akin to leaving with the entire candy store. It was a nostalgic journey back to the days when movies consumed me in the darkness of my teenage room, and music kept me bound to myself and the universe. Then, the day after I ventured into the musical world of recordings and sound engineering with Gabriel, where we immersed ourselves in conversations about music and life with Jody, his bandmate in his safe haven amongst the Rotorua woods. Jody's safe haven offered a brief moment of connective solace and sound, reminiscent of stepping into the formative chapters of a rockstar's autobiography before fame and corruption took hold.

The next day soul conversations flowed abundantly at Gabriel's Glow-up Party, where eccentrically beautiful souls gathered to share their creativity. Guitars were shredded, verses were spat, and hip hop clashed with rock in a creatively chaotic energy. It was a night where worlds collided and connected, igniting the sparks of a record company focused on highlighting local artists driven by passion rather than fame and wealth.

Reflecting on these experiences, I am reminded of the Taoist principle of Wu Wei, the art of effortless action. In embracing the flow of life and allowing it to guide me, I find myself in moments of profound connection and creativity, where the universe unfolds its mysteries in ways beyond my imagination. Each encounter is a brushstroke on the canvas of existence, painting a portrait of growth, inspiration, and gratitude. As Lao Tzu once said, "Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished." In the stillness of being, I found the rhythm of life, where every moment was a dance of harmony and balance. May I continue to embrace the flow of life with open arms, trusting in its wisdom and guidance as I navigate the journey ahead.
